This year represents a milestone that few organizations achieve—a Centennial. That means we have been serving as the “Face of Real Estate” for the past 100 years, helping millions of people realize the American dream of homeownership. That’s an extremely important accomplishment, and one for which we should all be very proud.

We should all be proud because we all contribute to what it means to be a REALTOR® and are in this “All Together” to make up the collective power of the organization. And that activity and cooperation has paid off in this past year as much as it has in any one of the previous ninety-nine.

As a matter of fact, we’re already planning for future success in our next 100 years. NAR’s “Second Century Initiative” begins this year by addressing four very important issues: further consumer outreach, funding of technology ventures, a national real estate gateway and a REALTORS® Federal Credit Union. Be on the lookout for more information throughout the year on these important initiatives.

Throughout this site, you’ll find valuable information on the many benefits available to you as part of the REALTOR® family, as well as where you can find additional details to get the most out of your membership. As important, you’ll also find sections titled “How To Get Involved” that will provide resources that do just that, show you how to get involved and be an active part of the family.

So, as we look toward the next 100 years, let’s continue to be involved in our organization—from Washington, DC to our own communities—and make the next century even better than the last. After all, we are in this “All Together!”
